Misdiagnosis of PTSD by The Department of Defence.

Every so often I find it necessary to bring visitors up-to-date on a new topics or expand information about PTSD to show how PTSD is being handled by the overseer of military actions, the Department of Defence. In this case, it is the Department of Defence and but mostly the United States Army.

Over the past several months I have been hearing stories that go back over a year now that military personnel have been experiencing misdiagnosis of PTSD and they are being discharged for "Personality Disorders. None of these discharges would be rated as honorable so the personnel are discharged with NO BENEFITS including Department of Veterans Affairs; medical, educational, vocational rehabilitation, On-The-Job Training OR Department of Defence disability!

To date, the following are example of these discharges and the disservice given to our military personnel. [male and female]

  1. Misconduct Discharges
  2. Other Mental Disorders ~ Stated as Pre-existing
  3. PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS before military duty
  4. Various types of trauma
  5. Differential Diagnosis of PTSD Symptoms
    • Depressed Mood
    • Somatic/Sexual Dysfunction
    • Guilt/Obsession
    • Addiction
  6. Understanding the biology of Post-traumatic Stress.

Why is it necessary for the combat veterans to always have to fight to receive entitlements!!
